In April, my sister bid on Moondance Jam tickets at the Dream$ Auction (an auction sponsored by NDSCS, my college, that hopes to bring in $$$ for scholarships every year - it's a big ta-do with shrimp and champagne and live/silent auctions, etc.) hoping my dad would go with her. Then her back-up was my sister-in-law. Both people fell through as "dates," so once again, my sister had to use me as a travel companion. We do well together (L.A. spring break trip/drove her to Maine last fall, etc.), but she was hoping for someone NEW.
Oh well. Yeah for me because I've never attended an outdoor festival. Moondance is in Walker, MN, and we'll see Johnny Lang & Lynrd Skynrd for sure Saturday night. Since she/we waited too long planning-wise, we opted to crash at a nearby uber awesome hotel that overlooks Leech Lake. Spendy, but a nice idea for after being outside all day... and with our weather lately, we may get around tornados and hail that way too.
So, what am I gonna wear? :o)
Cut-offs for sure. A tee or tank that's not super fitted. Close-toed shoes, but not tennies... so maybe my Doc Martens? Then, to carry stuff, my vintage leather across-the-body bag... and maybe my cowboy hat? Definitely my aviators. Yeah. I have to look a lil' rock-n-roll-ish, right?
